Caught within the pristine waters of Spencer Gulf, our family has been fishing for the delectable wild western king prawn for almost 35 years.

The industry has evolved from a fleet of small timber trawlers fishing all year round, to a modern fleet of 22m steel trawlers with many technological advances, and only fishing 55 nights of the year.
Thanks to an extremely well managed and organised industry, the Spencer Gulf remains one of the worlds’ most sustainable fisheries.
The Spencer fleet of 39 trawlers experience similar tonnages caught in the 55 nights fished today compared to the all year round fishing practices conducted over 25 years ago
